Turkey's help in building cyber army against India

The Indian news agency ANI reported that Turkey-Stockholm-based monitoring organization Nordic Monitor has secretly helped Pakistan in forming a cyber army against India. They also claim that Ankara has helped Islamabad to establish a cyber army in a very secret manner under a bilateral agreement between the two countries.

On December 17, 2018, Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu visited Pakistan. Then he had a meeting with the then Home Minister of the country. The issue of creating a cyber army came up on the discussion table.

At that time, the matter was discussed with several high-ranking officials, but the meeting remained a secret to many in the Ministry of Home Affairs. Even Pakistan's then Prime Minister Imran Khan approved the creation of a cyber army. At that time, he was also in charge of the country's home minister as well as the prime minister.

On Thursday (October 27), the Indian news agency ANI reported this sensational news in a report about Nordic Monitor, a Stockholm-based monitoring organization. The report also said that Ankara has helped Islamabad build a cyber army to shape public opinion, strengthen and influence Muslim opinion in Southeast Asia, launch cyber attacks on the US and India, and counter anti-Pakistani criticism.

Nordic Monitor claims that Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu helped implement the plan on behalf of the country's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Apart from this, he did similar work before becoming the Home Minister in September 2016. In 2014, Soilu secretly formed a large group of cyber armies on Twitter, led by himself.

Meanwhile, Turkish Interior Minister Suleiman Soylu admitted to the secret mission in an interview on a local Turkish TV channel on October 13. However, although he did not say anything specific about which country is being supported in establishing a cyber army, he said about a country that is a five-six-hour flight away from Turkey.
